Jamaica Beaches
Jamaica has a huge assortment of spectacular, world famous beaches. The most popular are found along the north coast, stretching 150 miles from 7 Mile Beach in Negril over to Port Antonio in the Northeast. People are beginning to discover some hidden beach gems on the south coast; the Kingston area does not offer much beach activity.

Some of the finest beaches are right outside the major resorts. Unfortunately, over the last few years access to these beaches has been denied to the public. On some beaches that front the resorts you may have to cross through gated "check-points", where you will be watched to ensure you don't use any of the all-inclusive facilities. Don't worry, there are still many beaches with public access and this section highlights the best of them.

Cornwall Beach
Small admission fee gives you access to an underwater marine park that is good for snorkeling and diving. The long beach has white sand as well as concessions for food, drinks and watersports.
Doctor's Cave
Small admission fee gives you access to a beautiful white sand beach with a well-maintained beach club atmosphere, complete with changing facilities, restaurants, snack bars and watersports. There are also some shopping areas, and the appearance of a live reggae band is not uncommon.
Walter Fletcher Beach
Gorgeous beach favored by locals. Its long shoreline is washed by tranquil waters that make it safe for families. There is a snorkeling/watersports center as well as a snackbar.
Most Gorgeous?
Many people feel that the Sandals Montego Bay has the most beautiful beach in the area. Rosehall Beach is gorgeous as well.
Seven Mile Beach
Jamaica Beach Couple Is one of the most famous and scenic beaches in the world. Also a perfect spot for sunset watching. The main area has long sandy beaches but is not good for snorkeling. The west end has caves and sea cliffs that people dive from all day long. This area is also great for snorkeling. Negril has a very "Beach Party-No Worries Mon"- type of atmosphere.
Booby Cay
Is a small island right off the point that was the setting for 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Today it is a popular spot for nude sunbathers.
Ocho Rios Beaches
This is the cruise port capital of Jamaica and the bay is protected by reefs. The white sand beaches are located near the bustling main part of town and offer the full range of watersports. Please note that drugs are prevalent in and around the beach area. Also there have been more jet ski accidents here than anywhere else, so be cautious.
